This project was a new work presented as part of the Moving with the Times platform, commissioned by Dancing’ Oxford and Pegasus Theatre. It was the culmination of 2 years work between myself, the artist Hilary Kneale and the independent dance practitioner Cecilia Macfarlane, and was a continuation of the relationship that we began in 2013 on Tra^verse, an Arts Council funded multidisciplinary project, part of which involved working and performing in Japan together. On this occasion we started by sharing our very individual practices. We shared writings, thoughts, songs, movement, dance and food, to name a few. Our meetings were mostly very playful but sometimes very serious. The result was a series of vibrant tableaux, rich in symbols and imagery. For more images by Christian Kipp click here.
